Lokah Samasta Sukhinu Bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy, free, and safe from harm
Sometimes 60 or 90 minutes of yin just isn't enough! I made this playlist for a 2 hour yin yoga workshop I taught on January 1, to kick off 2016 in the best way possible. 2015 was an incredible year for me, and I wanted to pay forward some of those good vibes so this yin class was also a fundraiser for the Koh Tao Animal Clinic. The clinic is run off donations, and takes care of every single animal on the island that needs it- from spaying and neutering the beach dogs & cats and providing routine vaccinations and care, to helping people bring their animals with them when they leave Koh Tao and go back to their home countries, to providing emergency care to any animal that needs it, our incredible vet Jae works tirelessly to make sure our four-legged friends are healthy. It's also thanks to her that my four rescue cats found their way off the streets and into my home, where they routinely wreak havoc in the best way possible. I can't imagine my life without Moo, Chili, Lou, and Bagheera, and I have Jae and the animal clinic to thank for that. I'm thrilled to report that the fundraiser was a huge success and over 2 dozen incredible yogis donated a total of 15 000B to the animals, which will go a very, very long way in saving lives and making our furry friends safe and well cared for. I'm so grateful, thank you everyone for coming and helping the animals (and also, thanks to special guests Lou and Baghi for being so well behaved)! Here's a few shots of them :)
Anyway, here's the playlist that serenaded us! It's great for yin but of course also nice if you just want to chill out and listen to some good tunes. You can listen to the playlist on YouTube by clicking below, although the final savasana song isn't online. You can buy it here on iTunes though, which I highly recommend :)
