If you have any questions, comments, or want to know more about my journey, please let me know in the comments below! I've posted lots of photos on my Instagram, so if you want to see more, I'm at @cynthiajoanneyoga. One Love!
If you know me in real life, or maybe if you follow me on Instagram (@cynthiajoanneyoga), you may know that I've made some significant changes in my life recently, including switching to an omnivorous diet after being vegetarian/vegan since my teenage years. Many people have asked me about my reasons for doing so, and the truth is that it's not a simple answer. I took into account a lot of nutritional facts, as well as ethical implications, environmental considerations, and, of course, my own emotions. I've decided to share this information through little videos, as it's more interesting to watch than to read (maybe?) and because it's a very personal topic that I want to share via a more personal medium. So, here you go:
So, although I say this in the videos, it's important to me to reiterate here that I'm speaking for myself only. The goals I have for myself are not goals that I feel everyone should have. The way I eat now, as before, is a personal decision, and my intention for this post is not to convince anyone to live their lives the way I do, or to judge anyone for how they want to live. I'm totally cool with people disagreeing with me, and completely respect each individual's right to choose how to live. If you've been in my yoga classes you know that I believe yoga should be adapted to suit the individual, and as yoga is a reflection of life, I also know that we are each free to create the live we feel is best suited to us. Evolution is an ongoing process, and for me, it has been important to be open to change and adaptation.
